Since the outset of the festival in the month of October 1997, it is rejoiced every year with a pile of joy and excitement. The prime reason behind the celebration is to promote communal harmony and unity of India. It is starting to absorb the fact that a chunk of people comes from various parts of the country to participate in the event.
And on an interesting note, they fetch water from their own state in an earthenware pots and immerse them in the Sindhu River. Cultural programs grow in a garden filled with diversity in the festival. On the top of that, a sightseeing tour is organized for the participants. You will be left spell bound, as there are sights that resemble your version of heaven.
Buddhist prayers as well as pujas are performed on the occasion. This festival immerses you in a moment of blessings and respect for the Indus river. The calm environment defeats the hurly burly quest of city life. Both domestic and foreign tourist gather at the location.
