Dha Hanu

Dha Hanu is described as Aryan villages of Ladakh and cocooned in Dha Hanu valley. It is located at around 160 kilometers from Leh town. Both Buddhist and Muslim population are present in the valley and tourists are required to he visitors are required to fetch an inner line permit to visit these villages.

Dard people of Dah Hanu have features akin to the Indo-European origin with an appearance of high cheek bones and sharp features. Their features represent a unique appearance as it looks quite different from other Ladakhi people. It is important and amusing to note that Dha and Hanu are two separate villages.

The valley can be accessed by two routes. The first route is by taking a link road from Khaltse. And the other route is Kargil by opting road moving through Batalik. It is noted that Hanu is divided in three parts. It is startling to observe that most of the population has never seen the places out of the Ladakh. When your journey begins, you will note that the last village of the valley where tourists are allowed to visit is Dha.
